Monthly Assembly and Aidilfitri Santunan Mesra Ceremony with the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform)

Putrajaya, April 21, 2025: The Monthly Assembly of the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) took place today, followed by the Santunan Mesra Aidilfitri Ceremony, held at the Laman Hijau, Legal Affairs Division, Putrajaya.

The event was graced by the presence of YB Dato’ Sri Azalina Othman Said, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform), and was enlivened by the participation of department personnel. The assembly aimed to strengthen two-way communication between top management and staff members, as well as serve as a platform for delivering current messages and recognising the contributions of staff.

The event began with the singing of the national anthem, recital of the public service pledge, and a keynote address by the Minister, who emphasised the importance of integrity, shared responsibility in implementing institutional reform, and appreciation for the dedication shown by all staff.

In her speech, YB Dato’ Sri Azalina reminded all departmental personnel to remain committed, uphold a high standard of integrity, and work together to successfully realise the planned institutional reform agenda. She also extended Hari Raya Aidilfitri greetings to all staff.

The event was attended by all Directors-General of departments under the Law and Institutional Reform Cluster, including the Director-General of the Protection Division. The celebration was further enlivened with various traditional Aidilfitri food stalls offering lemang, rendang, and traditional Malay kuih, along with lively performances, including festive songs and humorous skits by department staff that lifted the festive spirit and strengthened camaraderie among colleagues.

The presence of YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, further highlighted the significance and prestige of this event, which brought together personnel from across the Law and Institutional Reform Cluster.


 
Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration by the Protection Division 2025

Putrajaya, April 10, 2025: The Protection Division of the Prime Minister’s Department organized a Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration held in a joyful and friendly atmosphere.

The event was attended by the Director General, Deputy Director General, Branch Directors, and all members of the Protection Division. The presence of staff from all levels of the department further enlivened the celebration, reflecting the spirit of togetherness and unity that remains the foundation of the organization’s strength.

The event began with a welcoming speech by the Director General, who emphasized the values of gratitude, unity, and teamwork in celebrating Syawal, while also appreciating the commitment and efforts of all members in fulfilling their entrusted responsibilities.

A variety of special dishes and traditional foods added to the festive mood, along with photo sessions and casual interactions among officers and staff.

It is hoped that events like this will continue to nurture noble values, strengthen workplace relationships, and further reinforce the spirit of family among members of the Protection Division.


YAB Prime Minister's Meeting with Members of the Prime Minister's Department for March 2025

Putrajaya, March 3, 2025: The meeting with the Prime Minister and the members of the Prime Minister’s Department (JPM) for March 2025 took place on March 3, 2025, at the Dewan De' Seri Endon, Puspanitapuri, Putrajaya, with the attendance of the Director General, senior management, and staff of the Protection Division.

In his speech, the Prime Minister emphasized the important role of civil servants, particularly enforcement agencies such as the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia, the National Audit Department, the Royal Malaysian Police, the Royal Malaysian Customs Department, and the Road Transport Department, in carrying out their duties more effectively and with integrity.

The Prime Minister also informed that the government, including the Cabinet, the Chief Secretary to the Government, and the senior leadership of the public service, continues to provide full support in strengthening the administration and enforcement systems, and is committed to making improvements when necessary.

On this occasion, he also called on Muslims, especially in conjunction with the month of Ramadan, to cultivate the practice of reading, understanding, and reflecting on the Quran as a guide to distinguishing between good and evil.


Discussion on the 2024 Annual Report of the Protection Division

Putrajaya, March 10, 2025: The Protection Division held an important discussion regarding the content of the 2024 Annual Report. The discussion involved participation from the Operations Branch, Investigation Branch, Registrar's Office, and Management Branch.

The topics discussed covered various aspects, including activities, courses, visits, and events conducted throughout 2024.

The report prepared has been reviewed and confirmed by the Deputy Director General and the Director General, and will be submitted to the Honorable Minister at the Prime Minister's Department (Institutional Reform and Law) to meet the requirements of Section 29 of the Witness Protection Act 2009 [Act 696].


Director General’s Address at the Protection Division 2025 Event

Putrajaya, February 28, 2025: The Director General's Address for the Protection Division in 2025 was held meaningfully. The event began with the singing of the national anthem, Negaraku, followed by the pledge, and then the address by the Director General of the Protection Division. The speech highlighted the achievements of the Protection Division, the Rukun Negara, and the values within MADANI.

Director General also emphasized the importance of using the latest technology, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), in service delivery, integrity, teamwork, and adherence to established procedures in providing security and welfare protection for the participants of the Protection Program.

It was also announced that the future direction of the division includes the restructuring of BPJPM to meet current and future needs, along with a request for additional office space in preparation for the planned restructuring.

In addition, the event was made more special with the distribution of dates to the Protection Division staff in celebration of the upcoming month of Ramadan 1446H, a gesture from the Welfare and Sports Club (KKS) of BPJPM.
